I am Gabriel

I’m a photographer currently living in New Hampshire. I was born and raised in New Hampshire but spent almost all of my adult life living overseas. I mostly lived in China (15 years in GuangZhou, 4 in Shanghai and 1 year in Hong Kong), I also lived in Thailand and Korea off and on.

How did I become a photographer? The first time I stepped inside a photography studio, I was standing in front of the camera, not behind it. Being foreigner in Asia there are many opportunities for acting and modeling. I spent my days going from one studio production to another. I was learning from the best photographers in the biggest cities that are the fashion capitals of Asia. I learned how to control light, how to manage time, how to get the most out of a production (either in the studio or on location), and what are the expected results at the highest levels of professional photography. I learned practical things like posing, equipment management. But I think the most important thing I learned is communicating with the kind of respect that makes people proud to collaborate with you.
